A different way to see the museum

If you’re heading to Reina Sofia, check out this resource! It’s a collection of fanzines with different play scenarios around the museum for children ages 0 to 7. It allows families to explore the museum together, wander its spaces, and see the possibilities for play.

La fiesta de Las Mayas

The Lavapies neighborhood will be especially busy this weekend thanks to the Mayas Festival, which involves a young woman dressing up and sitting on an altar. Neighbors will dress in traditional costumes and dance in the plaza, and there will be live music, rosquillas, and regional wine on offer.

I hope this week’s plans helped prevent at least one child from ricocheting off your furniture like a caffeinated squirrel.
