Hey, families!

In this week’s edition, we’ve got a free activity at the Imprenta Municipal, a Harry Potter drone show, a diorama workshop, a tropical insect workshop, a sound adventure for babies, a nature activity with gnomes and fairies, a musical performance about ecology, a participatory musical experience for little kids, a chance to observe the sun, the opportunity to build and program a robot, a workshop about past kings and queens, a fantastic fair in Parque Berlin, an activity to experiment with magnets, magnetism, energy, circuits, movement, and natural phenomena, and much more!

Be the reason someone has plans this weekend

MY WEEKLY PICK

Ever wondered what it’s like to sleep in a museum? Kids ages 6 to 12 can spend the night at the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales, with science activities, games, dinner and a very unusual sleepover surrounded by animals or dinosaurs. Prepare for a night they definitely won’t forget!

FREE & FUN

La Noche del Deporte is taking over Plaza de España for five hours of free sports, games and activities for all ages. Try everything from pickleball, 3×3 basketball and fencing to teqball, gaming and even adaptive sports. it’s a fun way to get active and discover something new as a family!

SAVE THE DATE

Sheep are coming to Madrid! The Fiesta de la Trashumancia brings a traditional flock of sheep to Casa de Campo, along with activities celebrating the centuries-old tradition of seasonal sheep migration. It’s a wonderfully weird way to spend a family day. And yes, there will be actual sheep!

Anime, manga, cosplay, Pokémon, gaming, concerts, workshops and enough Japanese pop culture to keep the whole family entertained during Japan Weekend. It’s a fun, colorful day out, even if you don’t know your Pikachu from your Pokémon! Expect costumes, photo ops, cool finds and plenty of “wait, what is that?!” moments.

All roads lead to… Galapagar

Fancy a trip back to Roman times? Galapagar transforms into a lively Roman market, with artisan stalls, food, ancient crafts, games and entertainment filling the streets. It’s a fun way to soak up some history, grab a bite and let the kids experience a little taste of life in Ancient Rome!
