About
I used to have this terrible habit.
The weekend would be creeping closer, and there I’d be, on a Friday night, kids finally asleep (late—because, Friday), up until the wee hours looking for something interesting to do with them on the weekend.
It would be 1 am, sometimes 2 am, and I’d be exhausted, deep in an internet rabbit hole, shuffling between multiple websites, Googling soft play, searching for activities.
Lots of times, I’d see a fantastic event we had missed. Many times, tickets were already sold out. It was less than ideal in every way.
I wondered: were there other parents out there, just like me, who didn’t have time or energy to keep track of all the amazing events happening around the city? After all, I was busy juggling work, kids, laundry, dinner… Who had the time to look for family-friendly plans?
That gave me an idea.
What if I did all the research and then shared it with other overwhelmed families?
That’s when I decided to create Madrid with Kids.
It started with a free, weekly newsletter where I curate the coolest, most interesting family-friendly plans in Madrid. The kind you actually want to go to.

Every edition is organized by date and age, includes maps, and makes choosing something to do ridiculously easy.
Art, science, theater, nature, sports, weird-and-wonderful stuff… if it’s good and kid-friendly, it goes on the list.
Over time, Madrid with Kids grew into more than just a newsletter.
Today, you’ll also find loads of resources here on the website and a very active, helpful Facebook community. And if you ever have a question or need a recommendation, you can always reach out. I read and respond to every message.
Why do I do this?
I love exposing my kids to new ideas and experiences. I believe it makes them (and honestly, me too) more creative, more curious, and more thoughtful about the world around them.
As an expat living in Madrid for the last 25 years, and a mom of two, I’d say I have a pretty good handle on the city and the family fun scene.
My goal is simple: to help you spend less time searching and more time enjoying this incredible city with your kids.
Let me share what I know—and what I keep discovering—so you and your family can make the most of Madrid.
See you around the city!
